Our competition squad 'SHS Academy' put in fantastic performances this afternoon in the inaugural Shropshire County Grades Championship held at Lilleshall National Sports Centre.

Our girls came away with:

FOUR Individual Overall GOLD Medals :

Isabelle Griffiths-Ingall - In age Grade 6 Winner
Lucie Thouvenin - In age Grade 5 Winner
Fiona Morfill - Regional Grade 3 Winner
Ellie Pugh - Regional Grade 1 Winner

THREE Individual Overall SILVER Medals :

Carrie Davies - In age Grade 6
Chloe Speake - OOA Grade 5
Dora Tomlinson - Grade 1

FOUR Individual Overall BRONZE Medals :

Stephanie Edwards Grade 6 OOA
Danni Jukes - Grade 4
Thea Jones - Grade 3
Jess Elsey - Grade 1

The competition was organised by SHS Academy Head Coach and British Gymnastics Media Officer Olivia Howard and Head of Shropshire Gymnastics Derek Van Der Ploeg to give the county's gymnasts a vital opportunity to prepare for the upcoming West Midlands Grades Championships in Birmingham at the end of March.

A huge huge thank you to everyone involved in the competition. Particular mentions must go to the wonderful judges giving up their time, superstar SHS Mum Julie Evans stepping in to man the music desk like a pro along with Sophie Jones, our runners Emily and Lauren, John Howard for lending us his sound system, Jason Tucker for helping set up the gym and to Amy Briscoe's family on the scoring desk.
